1. Research about the audience as much as possible
I arrived 30 mins early to the office and a pregnant woman approached me. "I am looking forward to your class!" I was not prepared at all. I should have included the question "Are you currently pregnant? If so, how many months are you into? " I collected the survey before I start with the client to get to know them. You can email me for the full list.
2. Practice, practice, and practice
I screw up! I forgot to do both sides and students pointed out. This does happen in the regular classes, too. The only solution is to practice repeatedly on the side poses.
3. Always ask if they can hear me in the back
Ah...I didn't check if everyone can hear me ok. I was planning on doing it, but I forgot. I was too focused on multiple things in the room. Especially for the first time check
Students
Injury /Pregnancy /Pain management /Vertigo
Touching permission
Encourage using props to avoid accidents
Space
Room temperature (Especially after the vigorous poses and before Shavasana)
